Special Printing Effect (SPE) |

Matt lamination is often used in conjunction with spot UV to highlight images and logos, forming an integral part of the graphic design process. While matt lamination offers a smooth finish, spot UV applies a high gloss varnish to certain parts of the material. Traditionally, the process requires several press passes resulting in long process time and high costs. At Spectrum, we take this a step further. The Special Printing Effect (SPE) produced by our UV printing not only achieves the above matt-gloss effect but adds on the necessary texture to the material, resulting in a highly sophisticated print result. All this is done using only a single press pass and at a significantly higher accuracy. This greatly reduces turnaround time and allows and allows us to deliver this Special Printing Effect at a highly affordable price to our customers. |
